Dignity & Respect in Internet Home Business

DIGNITY & RESPECT

“You don’t hear those words in Internet Marketing anywhere near often enough and it’s a crying shame.”  Mark Hodgetts profitsentinel

People are infinitely more likely to want to do business with you if they like and trust you.

That’s why you must view their email address as a treasured possession and not abuse it or the owner’s intelligence.
Perhaps the most critical element in your long term online success is to build an an email list of prospective repeat clients – your success with those clients depends upon how you treat them.

Email marketing is a wonderful way to do business if the recipient bothers to open the message. otherwise it is a complete waste of time. I personally receive over 200 emails per week from people who have obtained my email address legally. I believe that I would automatically delete 180 of them. The other 20 come from people who have either established a workable business relationship with me or are going about doing so in the right way.

What separates the 20 from the rest?

Honesty

Sincerity

The provision of quality information

Responsiveness

These people treat me with dignity and respect. They are doing email marketing the right way.

Here are my rules for treating your email list with dignity and respect.

Your initial welcome message(s) should focus on building  trust and should informs the recipient that you will be sending them regular  emails containing bonus downloads, product reviews and helpful hints

You must inform them that you will be sending out fortnightly/weekly/monthly messages designed to help them with their on -line marketing activities

You ask them to place you on their “white email list”

You only recommend quality products and services

You respond to any queries promptly and honestly – never bluff. People can tell pretty quickly that you’re doing that and then your credibility is shot to bits. If you don’t know – say so – but find someone who knows.

Keep people in the loop. “Thanks for your question Bob. I’m not exactly sure about the answer, so I’ve emailed my colleague/friend/upline/mentor to confirm several things. I expect an answer within 48 hours” is much better than leaving people hanging for 2 days while you wait for a reply.

If you’re able to, offer free downloads, courses and advice to keep your readership interested

Try and be original with your text, write as if you were talking to somebody in the room with you – let your personality shine through – adapt pre written emails to suit your profile

If you follow these rules you mark yourself as a leader, somebody who can be trusted and respected. If you take nothing else away from this site – FOLLOW THESE RULES they are your long term key to success
