Opportunities for Home Business

Today I have received a dozen well meant solicitations from people promoting a business opportunity.
All of these “original” “must join” home business opportunities have sales pages that scream promises of  instant wealth when in reality they are designed to do little else other than siphon money out of your account.  Many of them are barely legal.

Most of them have a pyramid selling structure, the words may differ but matrix, power line, money line, “one up” programs and the illegal scams like doublers and cyclers have one thing in common.  For you to make money somebody else has to buy in to the program.  In other words there always has to be somebody on the bottom.

Here’s another fact that is unpalatable to most home business opportunity seekers.
These programs are pre filled in most cases by the program owner and his buddies, who at launch time “alert” their subscriber lists to this alleged business opportunity. So by the time the average punter is aware such a program exists the air is already going out of the balloon. 

The well placed power line/money line/matrix owners rake off oodles of cash from poor unsuspecting hopeful opportunity seekers who are left to scavenge around trying to advertise their affiliate links to break even.

But they provide training, I hear you say.  No they don’t they give you a couple of lead capture pages, some generic ads, some keywords to advertise on google, and an instruction to advertise theitr affiliate page on Traffic exchanges and Safelists.

They’re not training you.  they are making you their click slave!

Sorry.   I get angry about this.

So what makes a good business opportunity?

Something that matches your profile is a good business opportunity.  For example, I play and teach the guitar. There are literally dozens of affiliate programs related to guitar lessons, guitar equipment, amplifiers, metronomes, recording equipment.  What I need to do is use my knowledge to get people to visit those affiliate sites.  I do that by designing a website or blog that I  can put my own content on.
