Instant blog subscribers – the name alone makes you want to take a second look -anything that can get eyeballs on my site has to be a good thing right?

I have seen this (I guess who hasn’t with it being in every email from everyone lately) and I have not been sure of a real advantage to having a blog that will mostly be seen by a very small group. Using WordPress and around 5 minutes you can have a blog that will be seen by the world. Since it is like a safelist, I doubt that the blog will rank in the search engines. It seems like a lot of work to come up with the content for a small group unless the blog can be pinged, submitted, and will be able to rank in the search engines. Being it will be on a sub-domain you will probably not be able to very well. For me I will wait and see how many people join to see if it grows enough to make it worth my time/money. When it comes to TEs and safelists I am finding more is not necessarily better and I am trying to focus my time/money on what makes good sense in both time/money. If I do join though it will be through your link!
G’day Lenard. As usual you make some very good points and I agree with most of what you say. I would not advocate Instant blog subscribers blog as the only blog that somebody uses. My thoughts are that it fits into my marketing armory along with Apsense, Squidoo, Hubpages, Wetpaint etcetera as another satellite blog pointing at my main sites.
It can be pinged and does have an RSS feed – how it ranks in Search engines will be interesting
Yes you are right you can produce a WordPress blog very easily, however, unless you do lots of keyword research and are prepared to work like crazy to get back links, bookmarks and jump through whatever other hoops the search engines decide that you should jump through you simply won’t gt any visitors to your site.
What this site does is allow you to get eyeballs on your site – how you choose to use that is up to you – I see the site as a great means for me to alert prospects to product launches and any bonuses I may offer.
And your comments about TEs and safelists are right on the money – I find that 80% of my results are coming from 20% of my safelist/list building memberships and these are the ones that I took an upgrade option in -SOTAM, Viral Hosts, List Joe and a few others – the key with these is that I don’t spend any time producing credits – as I get to mail a set number every couple of days. Similar thing with TEs – of all the TE’s floating around, I can say that probably only a dozen are worth my time and/or money.

The more I look at IBS, the more I think that I should be moving it towards the core suite of products and services that I recommend.
