Turning resale rights into Home business opportunities

Many Internet Marketers and Home Business Owners fail to see the opportunities that resale rights, master resale rights and public domain content present.

Ownership of resale rights to books, software, audio content and even posters in the public domain with proper marketing principles put in place can be a lucrative business.

One of the great things about Resale rights ownership is that one hundred percent of every sale of every product that you make goes directly to you.

There are no ongoing costs and once you have your site set up there is no
ongoing maintainance.

There are several different phrases and terms that you should be aware of
when assessing a business opportunity with resell rights.

Resale Rights

Many products including some Clickbank products are packaged with automatic resale rights, while others like the WordPress Video Instruction available through this site give you the option to purchase the resale rights separately  or for a slightly
higher price. The key here as opposed to an affiliate product is that you must
purchase the product.
Resale rights often come with a pre made mini-site (sales page and  product download page) so that you can set it up and resell the product on your own website or on a new domain name with relatively little effort.

Master Resale Rights

Master Resale Rights work on the same principal as Resale Rights, with the added benefit of being able to resell the rights. This gives you two bites at the cherry – If we use the WordPress Videos as an example they appeal to people looking to learn how to use WordPress and they appeal to other marketers who recognise the potential for sales to their existing subscriber base.

Private Label Rights (PLR)
Resale rights and master resale rights, are in some respects restrictive as you are not allowed to edit the product in any way There can also be some restrictions on pricing and distribution (you may not be able to sell the products on eBay for example)

Private label rights, as the name implies, give you a lot more freedom.

Effectively you can re-badge (re-label) the product to present it as your own work
Private Label rights can be purchased for articles, reports, ebooks or any other type of content. Typically you will need to be a little creative with this type of content and will need to pull together sales copy and your own website to take advantage of this type of product.

Public Domain Content

Your rights to content that is in the Public Domain are very similar to Private Label Rights. With both of these types of rights you can basically re-work the content/source and use it to create an entirely new product  or simply publish it as your own.

In the US ,anything published from 1923-1963 may be in the public domain if the copyright has not been renewed. As copyright has lapsed, you may be ableto copy it or republish it  even for commercial use.
This is largely an untapped area and you can review my earlier post on Public Domain Material

Accessing quality products with resale material can be difficult.
A couple of site that can help you with accessing resale rights material are
Daily Niche Idea and Resale Rights For Newbies.

Opportunities Home Business will make regular resale rights products available as they present themselves. You can view what is currently available here

Affiliate Silver Bullet Review & Test Drive

There's a lot of excitement being generated by Soren Jordensan And Cindy Battye's latest offering Affiliate Silver Bullet.

I have been able to get a sneak preview of the product and it is a variation on their massively successful Clickbank Pirate.

Regular readers of my blogs may know that I was singularly unimpressed with Clickbank Pirate simply because I was not able to build grow and nurture my own list with it.

Affiliate Silver Bullet addresses that problem in some respects by allowing advanced users to plug and play their lead capture systems into AWeber's autoresponder.

Essentially, Affiliate Silver Bullet enables you to concentrate on driving traffic to a number of professionally designed squeeze pages that will then follow up on your behalf with recommended products and services.

On the face of it, it could work.

There are some difficulties I can see with utilising it – the first is that you either rely on Affiliate Silver Bullet to do the follow up for you- something that I'm not exactly keen upon or  you use Aweber's services – too bad if you use Get response or Traffic Wave or any other half dozen quality email service providers.

Not withstanding these drawbacks I decided to test Affiliate Silver Bullet for you.
I am not spending much time on this – in fact I'm spending about as much time as your typical Home Business Opportunity seeker may take between working, and living a normal life.

I have therefore implemented the following test criteria.

I have set up a Clickbank account exclusively for the purpose of testing the product.

I have allocated some Traffic Exchange credits to a squeeze page.

I will advertise a seperate squeeze page once per day for the next week on selected alternating Safelists.

I plan to do nothing else.

At the end of the week I will reveal my results.

My sincere advice to you is not to consider purchasing Affiliate Silver Bullet until you've seen the results of what I would consider the average Internet Marketing hopeful capable of doing.
